So I ordered this monitor on a whim. There were no reviews. I went through about a dozen different baby monitors on here, reading reviews and trying to find the best one for me. I bought this one because of the price. I figured that because I was spending a little more money on it, it was going to work better then the cheaper ones. Was I right about that! I plugged the monitor in when I got it and tested it out with my 3 year old. No static at all! The monitor I owned before was a cheaper one, it had a lot of static. Now that I have a new baby, I needed a new one. Well I recommend this product for anyone! It has a 2000 sq ft range, a rechargeable battery and also a/c cords to plug into the wall. I also like it because there is no antenna and is small enough to fit into a pocket. Also it has a vibrate feature so when the baby cries it vibrates, so if you are a sound sleeper the vibes will wake you. Great product
This monitor is fantastic. It's so clear it's unbelievable. As I am typing this, I can hear my daughter breathe through this monitor. The range is great, and it beeps if you are out of range. Another nice feature is that a red light glows when the battery is getting low, so you have a chance to set it on the dock to recharge without just losing connection to your baby. And of course you can still listen to her when it is on the dock. But no complaints about battery life, I never time it, but I have it on me for a few hours every night, then just set it on the dock when I go to bed.
Anyway, it is incredibly clear, and durable! I left it by the tub one night on vibrate. I went to check on my daughter and made some noise, which caused the unit to vibrate (as it is supposed to when you turn on vibrate feature), and it vibrated into a tub full of water! I went back into the bathroom a few minutes later to see it upright on the tub floor with bubbles coming out. I took it out, hung it by the heating vent, and then next day it was as good as before. This is a great product!
Finally, it is a nice size, and the belt clip is a great idea too. I also like the visual lights as well, which light up more in a straight bar if baby is moving. Highly recommend.
